Clover Creek Commons is a community project in Parkland, Washington. Located on a flood plain owned by Pierce County. Community groups plan to rescue this unused space and bring it back to life. There will be restoration by Clover Creek Restoration Alliance (CCRA), removing invasive plants, restoring native wildflowers, and planting native bushes and trees as part of a first phase of the project.

Although the space may flood in some winter seasons, in the summer the land is dry and often the creek is also dry. With some tender loving care, the restored property can be home to local birds and other small species. It also has potential to host some human uses that will be part of a second phase.

The following sketch is one proposal, but not a final plan.

Volunteers are now planning the transformation. They include Clover Creek Restoration Alliance, Pierce Conservation District, Kiwanis of Parkland Spanaway, Blue Zones of Parkland Spanaway, Spanaway Community Association, Washington Rock Quarries, and hopefully more will soon join the list!
